Girls' Night Out

All the girls' wedding rings around the candle... I had never heard of this tradition, but very fun! Had a great "unbirthday" - it's still not for another week! We tried to just have a GNO, but someone spilled the beans that I had a birthday coming up! Thanks, Leslie! ;) I feel blessed to have such great girlfriends!

Come to find out, someone else had a birthday even sooner!

Da spent numerous hours last week putting on the final boards, screws, windows, roof and every last detail. We are very thankful!

Old School

This past week, I visited my BFF from elementary school, whom I reconnected with on Facebook about a year ago. This picture is Cindy and I on the Purple Panthers soccer team when we were roughly 9 or 10 years old. Cindy just had her second child, a boy, named Kellen. He is beautiful and his big sis Cami is so proud!

PJ Day at school!

It's "P" week for the 2 and 4 year old classes at school this week, and Thursday the kids celebrated it with PJ Day. Teresa taught me how to make the PJ pants which happen to be Pirate material! I also made Addy a matching shirt. For snacks, they ate Pop Tarts, Pretzels, Peaches, Pears and Pineapples and for lunch, Pizza! I want to go back to Preschool!

Marlen, Da and Papa are working hard on the play set right now! Here's a pic from last week. We hope to have swings on today, and for it to be 100% completed, unless we have to send off for some missing pieces!

Going on Week 3 of the playset project. Santa brought this to the kids just after Christmas (because it wouldn't fit on his sleigh.) Daddy and Da got right to work on it, but then we left for our week of vacation. So, since then, it's been worked on in few-hour stretches, and according to the directions, it's a 20-hour job for 2 moderately skilled people.

Last Sunday we celebrated Melissa's birthday again. I made Oprah's favorite turkey burger - the Mar-a-Lago turkey burgers - and of course Bubba burgers for the boys.
